The founders of Perfecting Expecting, Kristen Parker and Sandee Tisdale, MSW, met while working together as child care providers in Massachusetts.

While they both have strong research backgrounds, they make the perfect Baby Planning Pair; Kristen's event planning and organizational skills as well as her amazing sense of style - and Sandee's clinical work in family studies, human development, and work-family balance come together to bring you their shared passion: Perfecting Expecting.

Our motivation for creating PE came from watching our loved ones, families, and friends alike prepare to become parents. It seemed to us that each family had many of the same questions and concerns, yet each family spent oodles of time wading through the seas of information to get to their answer. Between the internet, boutiques, giant baby department stores, and word-of-mouth advice, we saw parents-to-be become overwhelmed, tired, and frustrated at the amount of energy that it took to narrow down each decision that they had to make. That's where the idea for a baby planning service was 'born.'

We spend our time reading, reviewing, researching, pushing, pulling, and prodding products so that you don't have to. We have absolutely loved making this our job - to know the best available options out there for new parents. It is our hope that this will help you enjoy the wonderful parts of expecting without the unnecessary hassles.
